I'm hoping you might be able to help. We're in the process of moving away from Mailchimp and Mandrill. Mostly because of cost and poor contact management.
We're looking for a platform which would allow us to:
- Send newsletters with in depth segmentation using a relational database
- Send transactional emails through an API,
- Create templates with a drag and drop sort of template builder
We gave Communicator a shot, but they don't actually do transactional, they just sort of pretend they do, even though you'd have to add the contact in their database, setup a field for each bit of data, and then store all the transactional info in those fields, send the email and then delete it that data all once you've sent the email... Because that's something you want to do when you send a single password reset...
The relational side of it was what brought us to it in the first place, but that was a bust, so I'm hoping some of you guys might have suggestions?
