I have a large email subscriber list (~70,000) and I send about half that list emails once a week, or about 120,000 total emails a month. Every subscriber has signed up on their own accord through simple signup forms on my blogs, although they are not double opted in. For the past 3 years I have been using Mailchimp with great success, however I can no longer tolerate their pricing (>$400 per month) and the fact that they charge me for "all contacts" instead of just subscribers.
Do you have any recommendations on an email marketing service that would fit my needs? Being able to customize my subscriber list is essential, such as with Mailchimp tags and groups, so any alternative must have a similar ability. The two platforms I have been looking at lately are Elastic Email ($180 per month) and SendGrid ($200 per month); does anyone have any experience with these? My email content is tips, stories, and advertising some of my products.
