What is a good warming up strategy for 5,000 to 10,000 email addresses?

We opened up a new domain for sending out email marketing, and was wondering what would be a good strategy for sending out the emails.

I had two options in mind:

1. Start with a hundred on the first day, wait a couple days, then send a few hundreds, wait a day, send a few hundred more, and slowly increase.

2. Start with a hundred on the first day and every day after that slowly increase.
