[Need advice] How to use my new database efficiently?

Hi there!

I own a home decor business in Canada and since 5 years, and we've collected, little by little, approximately 2,000 qualified emails so far.

Last week, we've organized a common contest along with 39 other local companies sharing the same kind of audience, in order to win a $4,000 prize, and collected more than 35,000 emails in 1 week only! By participating, people accepted to receive marketing emails from the 40 companies. We've paid legal registrations etc. so everything is perfectly legal and supervised by lawyers.

In order to avoid spamming the participants, we've made a schedule where only 3 of us are allowed to contact them per day. My turn will be this coming Saturday.

My question is: What should I tell them in that context?

  • I don't want to bother them more than necessary,
  • I want to be kind of different from the 39 others in order to stand out of the mass,
  • I don't necessary want to "sell" them something for now but more to create a relationship and contact them again later

I was thinking about introducing our company, offering a coupon as well as a gift to the first 100 orders... I don't know actually.

Bonus question: Also, should I put them with my current database?

Thank you for your help guys
