Why does gmail delay all of our transnational emails by exactly 4 minutes?

Our signup emails, contract emails, forgot password emails, all of it. 4 minutes. This is difficult because our sales reps are on the phone waiting for a few of these to arrive after a sale.

We use Mailgun and have changed IP addresses (shared and dedicated) and it makes no difference. We have a very low spam rate.

We use gsuite for our business/shared inbox emails so I spoke with their support. They said they don't have access to personal gmail data to help us, but that we can report any emails that take longer than 5 minutes. Conveniently, ours are only late 4 minutes. This appears to be some kind of sandbox we're in?

Does anyone have the answer to this?
