How to monetize email list if you don't have your own digital product to sell?

Hi! I'm new to email marketing and currently have a list of around 250 subs but I don't know how to monetize the email list.

I don't currently have my own digital product yet because I heard people saying that you should have a sizeable email list before attempting to sell your own digital product.

So now I'm left with a modest sized email list which I paying a monthly fee to maintain via convertkit and basically just losing money because I don't know how to make back the money I'm spending on the email list. I'm getting about 30-40 new subs a month which I find quite slow to be honest and am exploring other ways of increasing the opt-ins.
