If many people reported your domain as spam, does it matter if you send it via MailChimp or Amazon SES?

Referencing Gmail on this.
Domain isn't blacklisted, has 10/10 scores on mail-tester.com

Just wondering if it's worth it to pay the extra price with MailChimp if the there's significant deliverability increase.

If there's increased deliverability with Mailchimp, would SendGrid be almost as effective?
