Need advice/insight: Gmail open rates suddenly slashed in half

Hey y'all,

Gmail is messing around.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Interestingly enough, it came on the heels of Google's completed May 2020 core upgrade.

Postmaster tools still rates us "High" on both IP and domain reps, as well as a 0.0% spam rate.

I ran tests of 2 recent campaigns and discovered both indicated sudden placement back into the promotions tab with zero spam issues.

Literally, our strategy did not change at all in this time and other ISPs are still performing (though Yahoo took a slight tumble, but that's neither here nor there).

I'm doing other research, running more tests and reports, etc. but just wanted to hit up one of my favorite subreddits to see if you had any insight here.

Gmail is 70% of our email marketing database, so you can understand why this is concerning.
