Unknown users for unknown reasons

Hey r/Emailmarketing,

I was wondering if people might have some sort of knowledge on email deliver-ability issues with mass marketing.

I manage a huge email marketing program for 4 years that has recently started giving me problems. Out of nowhere last week ReturnPath starting blacklisting IPs for 90% unknown users rates on Lists that have been in use and internal error reports show less than 1% bounces for unknown users.

Has anyone else ever dealt with something like this? RP sent back a generic help center article saying they have an allowance of 10% unknown error limit but wont answer the question of where they are getting the numbers all of a sudden.

Any assistance would be incredible <3
