I think we can all agree that messengers are far superior to Email, but they have still not replaced Email, I think a good step in changing this has made the company Spike. They have an app that look like an chat app like WhatsApp, or Telegram but its Email, and I personally think this is the future, and the only way to replace it is by making the UI work like an chat app.
