Which email platform would you recommend for cold prospecting A/B testing and API connection?

I am currently testing out SendGrid (it's the best Price - Features - Reputation - API combo I found). But, there are issues that bother me:

1. When I tested out the A/B testing feature on several of my emails - They don't really distribute the variations in 50% as I configured - Each time one of the variations was the prominent one (and sometimes the other variation wasn't even sent)
2. My testing was for 6 different email addresses but delivery was to 4-5 of them - without any specification or indication as to what happened to the other emails (3 of the 6 addresses are actually alliesed to the same email address - but if this is the issue - I would expect SendGrid to report that)
3. SendGrid tracks opens and clicks - but not email replies. An email reply is an important conversion metric for me. They do have the Parse API but it seems that it takes over the entire domain (and is not seamlessly integrated with their monitoring and reporting dashboards) - I need the tracked replies to arrive in my email client inbox so that I could continue handling the responses.
