My company is investigating ways to improve deliverability and in the process looking at moving from a custom in-house email service and domain management to a full fledged service provider. For example, Constant Contact.
Our situation may be a little unique in that we are generating thousands of transactional emails as part of a nightly batch process (can be a million or more a month), and we don't really send much that is non-transactional. So really we just need a way to pass off a list, some dynamic values and template references through a back end/API job.
Every product comparison focuses so much on marketing heavy concepts like automation, CRM integration, etc, but very little in regards to capabilities of the APIs and raw customization.
I know from my experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud that it has the flexibility to custom implement such things, but I found it to be a pretty cumbersome product. Are there other products that offer the same level of customization and flexibility that I can look into?
