Warming up new domain for low volume?

I want to do a b2b cold email outreach, but only about 200 emails per day.

While doing research on how to do this I keep reading different kinds of things about warming up your domain. Some say to not send any campaigns in the first 12 weeks, others say to 'take it slow and not send more than 1000 mails on the first day'. Those two are very far apart, so I thought I'd ask here.

What is the best practice to warm up a domain, and how long should I take?
