Hallo! :) If you email marketers could give me some insight, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Background: I work for an NGO. We're starting on a project where we're giving free assistance to public cultural institutions.
What I need to do: Send about 500 emails, probably just once. Being able to keep track of opening rates would be helpful, too.
The issue: I got the addresses from an official governmental document. In other words, I didn't get direct consent from those people to receive an email. Is that still an issue when working with businesses email addresses, rather than personal ones? What I read in the MailChimp help pages made me question whether I'd end up getting banned from there if I used it to send the emails.
Can I use a tool like MailChimp for this task? Is there any other tool / alternative you'd suggest?
Thanks in advance!
