I operate an eBay store. In the past 9 months I've had over 2500 sales and have recently discovered how to access all of my past customer's emails from PayPal.
I'm wondering if it's a good idea to hold onto these emails and further grow an email list to remarket to. It's not something I want to do immediately, rather in the future if and when I open my own online store outside of something like eBay or Amazon. I'm wondering if there are any implications to this.
I've done limited research and am not sure if this is something this is a good idea to do. I'm pretty sure by purchasing from my store in the past I have "implied" permissions to remarket to them, but i'm just not sure. I have also read a few things about IP addresses possibly being blacklisted but that has only been the case when it was someone asking about buying email lists rather than creating their own.
