Anyone with experience using email marketing tools (MailChimp, etc.)? How is it?

Looking into email marketing for my business. Is there a standout product that you like? Which ones?

Questions:

-How does it connect to your email? Or are you stuck using their system (i.e. they have an email platform that you have to use).

-How hard is integration (currently using Outlook and gmail for my business account)

-Do you get spammed? I currently hand email a bulk of list (Around 100) and I always get a few unsinkable letters. Is this a issue with email marketing at scale? Or perhaps you use a throw away email address?
