First, let’s talk about why I think list building is actually fun. Every time I get a notification that a new subscriber has been added to my list, I think, “Excellent! I’ve started a conversation with someone new. I can help them learn how to build their business with these powerful tools.”. That actually makes me smile. I begin to think about the many success stories we’ve been a part of over the years and I get excited to think there may be another one coming soon.
Along the way, as they ask questions, I will get to know them. They will get to know more. We will be building rapport. This, of course, leads to the next part of List building for fun and profit: The profit! And, making profits is fun, isn’t it? The lines between these two (fun and profit) can get pretty blurry.
Our ultimate goal in business is to generate profit. That is how we pay our bills, provide solutions, and help people. So, when I have an offer, an important update, a valuable tip, I send it out to my subscribers via the Broadcast function in my TrafficWave back office. The fun kicks in when I see sales start coming in within minutes. And sales means profits, so we are covering both in one action!
