Quick question, why do so many email marketers use the "Spray and Pray approach"?'
I recently interviewed over 100 consumers and they almost unanimously said they don't open emails because the majority are spam. Many interviewees said that if a company asked for their contact preferences they'd be on average 33% more likely to open the message.
Why do you think email marketing hasn't changed to a customer-first approach yet, even when customers say that's what they want?
